The state Public Service Commission will come to Lexington next week to hear comments on Ky American Water's request for a 37 percent rate increase.
The public meeting begins at 6:00 pm July 28th in Norsworthy Auditorium at the "It's About Kids" Support Service Center 701 East Main Street.
The public may speak at the meeting or submit comments in writing.
Because the City of Midway purchases water from Ky American Water, if they were to be granted an increase that cost would be passed on to the residents of Midway on their water bills.
You are encouraged to attend or send written comments concerning this increase.
There will be additional information about this increase in this week's edition of the Woodford Sun.
