  1. Cindy Smithers will take over as Vice President.  Susan Cottingham will take over as Secretary.
  2. LM provided a copy of the letter of support for the revitalization of the downtown theatre.
  3. Next meeting will be September 15 at 7 PM.  After that the meetings will resume the normal schedule of the fourth Monday of each month.

Streets and Grounds

1.  Sinkhole needs to be monitored.

1.  LM and LK will measure sinkhole after tonight’s meeting.

Public Relations

  1. Next newsletter will be published this fall.  Discussion was held on including photographs from the Midway Fall Festival in next newsletter.
  2. Flyer to recruit additional board members will be created and distributed to all households in the neighborhood.
  3. Discussion of having a Neighborhood Day at a Lexington Legends game next year.

 

  1. LK delivered newsletter to each household on August 24.  LK will take photographs at the Midway Fall Festival.
  2. LM and BR will create flyer.
  3. The board will look into group rates.

Finance

1.      Insurance has been paid.

2.      Reviewed dues collection – Two households have not paid and two households paid late but did not pay late fee.

3.      Current balance is $10,951.86

4.      Three checks were signed – 1.  BR – $12.56 for reimbursement of newsletter copying costs.  2.  LK – $37 for reimbursement for postage stamps. 3.  Mowtown Mowing - $365 ($10 for advertisement in newsletter was deducted from usual charge) for mowing of common areas.

5.      Income tax return will be filed soon.

 

1.      It was decided not to enforce late fees and a letter from an attorney has been sent to the two households that have not paid the Homeowner’s Association dues.  Placing a lien on the two houses that have not paid their dues was discussed.

2.      LK will file income tax return.
